Jan Blum came to Non-Violent Communication as an entrepeneur. For nearly 20 years, she owned an international seed company, introducing heirloom seed varieties and teaching gardeners how to save their own seeds. Following that, she hosted daily interview radio shows on both politics and health. She now teaches REALTalk and Connective Listening skills in Boise, Idaho.

Jan's passion is mediating and supporting Mediators and Practice Group Facilitators. She especially enjoys supporting couples in hearing each other. She has a limited and very lively conflict and communication coaching clientele.
