Foundations of NVC Mediation
Leader: John Kinyon

Eight consecutive Thursdays, Aug 7, 2008 - Sept 25,2008 from 12:00-1:30 Pacific time
The teleclass is a conference call format, and the structure is very experiential and practice-oriented. There are improvised triad role-plays and group harvestings of the learning and insights gained. In the role plays, you will have a chance to be both mediator and disputant. As a listening observer you will have the opportunity to move into the mediator’s role and put into practice what you’ve just learned, and then receive valuable feedback from those in the disputant roles and from those observing/listening. There is a back and forth flow between practice and feedback. John actively coaches, facilitates, and shares his experience throughout. As the weeks progress, there tends to be a significant deepening in participants’ NVC skill development and their experience of the power of the NVC process.

Eight consecutive Thursdays, Oct 23 through Dec 11, 2008 from 12:00pm-1:30pm  Pacific time
This teleclass is for people who have already taken an NVC mediation workshop, class, or equivalent. With a more experienced group the practice and learning will start at a more advanced level. The same learning structure will be used as in the Foundations of NVC Mediation trainings (see below), however, in this series there will be the opportunity to practice with more experienced participants and work with more challenging role plays. In terms of content, more complex, fluid, and subtle applications of the mediation model emerge as the learning and connection with fellow participants deepens.
