Intention

This site is a "Commons" for those drawn to being in the world with respect for both self and others.  In many land-based communities in the world, there is a piece of ground that is designated as a "commons." This is where village meetings are held, celebrations erupt, and people gather to mourn or to protest.

So here we are in cyberspace, creating a similar gathering ground for our worldwide community. What we share in common is an understanding and appreciation of Non-Violent Communication as coalesced and elucidated by Marshall Rosenberg. We are not sponsored by the Center for Non-Violent Communication. Rather, we are a crossroads of human sharing.

We trust in our ability to find our way, individually and together ~ to cross-pollinate concepts and experiences, and to learn from each other without official guidance. This is a do-it-ourselves opportunity.
